St Louis is a small City and port in the U.S. State of Missouri which is located at the western bank of  River Mississippi. Most visitors fly into Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, which is served by most major US carriers. The airport is directly served by the MetroLink light rail line.There are 3 general aviation airports serving the area: Spirit of St. Louis Airport, St. Louis Downtown Airport and Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. It's a two Terminal four Runway International Airport with Five Concourses located approx 10 miles from Downtown St. Louis. Terminal 2 serves for International Traffic. This Airport served as an inspiration for many airports like J.F. Kennedy Airport in NYC. It is the busiest airport in the state with over 255 flights departure daily in the domestic and international airfield.

Arriving and Getting Around St Louis by Rails 


Gateway Multimodal Transportation Center is the primary center for all rail transportation and buses in the city. It is mainly used by Metrolink’s Orange County Line, and Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner. It is also used by Greyhound buses and is the main hub for Orange County Transportation Authority bus transport. There is also a free trolley that runs  fromMonday and Tuesday afternoons.

MetroLink   

The expanded MetroLink light rail, which has been called one of the best mass transit systems in the country, provides access to many area attractions. Beginning at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, MetroLink stretches 48 miles through Missouri and Illinois and includes stops at 37 stations. Trains usually run every seven minutes during peak hours, and every 10 minutes throughout the rest of the day, and every 15 minutes or so on weeknights.
